Must read

There was panic and shock on the afternoon of July 1, 2025, after a suspected grenade was discovered at the home of popular artist Mulwana Patrick, widely known as Alien Skin. The incident happened at around 3:30 pm in Nakinyogozi, Makindye Division, where Alien Skin is currently building a house.

According to police, the alarm was raised when construction workers at the site found the strange object while digging the foundation. Alien Skin immediately informed the authorities, and when the police arrived at the scene, he personally presented the suspicious device to them. Officers quickly advised him to place it down for safety.

The area was cordoned off to keep the public safe, and a professional bomb squad was called in to handle the situation. After careful inspection, the team confirmed that the item was a Russian-made hand-thrown grenade. They carried out a controlled detonation to safely destroy the device without causing harm.

Police documented the scene and completed all necessary procedures. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the quick action by Alien Skin and the security team helped prevent what could have been a serious tragedy.

Following the incident, police issued a strong warning to the public: if you ever come across a suspicious object, do not touch or move it. Instead, report it to the authorities immediately for proper handling. Explosives can be extremely dangerous, even if they look old or damaged.

This rare and alarming event serves as an important reminder of the risks that can sometimes lie hidden in unexpected places. The public is urged to remain alert and cautious. Thanks to the quick response by Alien Skin and the police, a possible disaster was avoided.
