Bush war hero, Lt Col Ahmed Kashillingi left behind over 100 children, his son and prominent city lawyer, Hussein Kashillingi says. Kashillingi died yesterday at the age of 73.
In a message of condolence given he is out of the country, Hussein says he allowed his father who died yesterday to be buried because he is a Muslim and that the earliest he could return to Uganda would be Sunday.
"Afande is a Moslem and it would be wrong and selfish for me to keep is body for almost 5 days waiting for my arrival," part of the statement reads.
Hussein says "this is the most difficult and painful decision i have ever made in my entire life."
He commended Gen Salim Saleh and Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde for being their for his father.
Hussein revealed at the time of his father's death, he was building for him a house. However, little did he know that he would be there to sleep in it.
Kashillingi was laid to rest last evening in Rukungiri.
