Police in Kampala are hunting for criminals who took off after being found ferrying two cows and two goats, which were stolen, in an Ipsum.

Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman, said the Police Flying Squard team were on routine patrol towards Nsangi Police Division when they saw a car moving at high speed and something like a cow's leg had come out of the car's boot.

“They tried to stop it, the driver could not stop; the team then drove following it until the occupants abandoned it and took off to the bush,” Onyango said in a statement.

He said on reaching the car, they found that it contained two (2) cows and two (2) goats.

The motor vehicle was taken to  Nateete for further Managment.

However, Onyango said one Kajungu Caroline, a resident of Kikumbi zone Bunamwaya parish Makindiye Sabagabo came to the station, claiming that the car belongs to her and it was stolen from her home on 19/11/2022 and that she had reported at Katwe police Division on 02/19/11/2022 but she says by the time it was stolen it was UAN 476D.

The cows, goats and the car are at Nateete region as investigation go on, he said.
