Police in Kampala are hunting for criminals who took off after being
found ferrying two cows and two goats, which were stolen, in an Ipsum.
Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman, said the Police
Flying Squard team were on routine patrol towards Nsangi Police Division when
they saw a car moving at high speed and something like a cow's leg had come out
of the car's boot.
“They tried to stop it, the driver could not stop; the team then drove
following it until the occupants abandoned it and took off to the bush,”
Onyango said in a statement.
He said on reaching the car, they
found that it contained two (2) cows and two (2) goats.
The motor vehicle was taken to
Nateete for further Managment.
However, Onyango said one Kajungu Caroline, a resident of Kikumbi zone
Bunamwaya parish Makindiye Sabagabo came to the station, claiming that the car
belongs to her and it was stolen from her home on 19/11/2022 and that she had
reported at Katwe police Division on 02/19/11/2022 but she says by the time it
was stolen it was UAN 476D.
The cows, goats and the car are at Nateete region as investigation go on,
he said.
