Bobi Wine Remanded by Military Court Martial

Military court martial sitting at Gulu Military barracks has remanded Kyadondo East member of parliament Hon Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine for illegal possession of fire arms.
A statement released by the military says Kyagulanyi has been charged for illegal possession of fire arms under Section 119 (1) (h) of the UPDF Act 2005.
He was charged on accounts of illegal possession of fire arms and ammunition which is a monopoly of the defense forces and was subsequently remanded till August 23, 2018.
Army spokesperson Brig Richard Karemire says his arrest followed after his supporters in Arua pelleted stones on the convoy of the president breaking the rear window of his car while leaving Booma grounds after campaigning for NRM candidate.
During the whole fracas, one person was shot dead.
The statement says after his arrest, police carried out a search and recovered two SMG rifles and ammunition from his hotel room.
