Buganda Road Court Issues Criminal Summons Against Bobi Wine

Buganda road court has issued criminal summons against Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobiwine) and David Lule aka Selector Davie for failure to show up in court today.

The two are charged alongside 3 others for holding unlawful procession in Kampala in protest against the introduction of the OTT tax last year.

Defense lawyers led by Kiwanuka Abdullah this morning asked court to have the matter adjourned because his clients were unable to make it to court, having travelled late from up country last night.

Kiwanuka also asked court to order the prosecution to serve them with all relevant documents so as to prepare their defense in time.

The matter was adjourned to 12th August 2019 and the prosecution was ordered to serve the defense with all relevant documents not later than today.

The other suspects in the matter, who were present in court today include Eddie Sebuufu aka Eddie Mutwe and Nyanzi Fred Sentamu.

Proscecution contends that during the month of July 2018, Hon Kyagulanyi with his co accused at City Square in Kampala Central disobeyed sections the Public Order Management Act by holding a public meeting without adhering to the required criteria.
