This evening, the Director of the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Tom Magambo, led a major meeting with all Regional CID Commanders at the CID Headquarters in Kibuli. The meeting was part of the department’s quarterly review aimed at checking the progress of various crime-fighting efforts across the country.

AIGP Magambo and his team discussed in detail the current state of criminal investigations and ongoing operations. The main goal was to assess what has been achieved so far and to identify areas that need more attention. According to sources, the meeting emphasized the importance of staying ahead of criminals and using modern strategies to protect the public.

The commanders also shared their experiences and challenges from the different regions they serve. They discussed how to improve coordination and the use of intelligence to track down criminals faster and more efficiently. The review meeting comes at a time when the public is demanding more action against rising cases of theft, fraud, and organized crime.

AIGP Magambo encouraged his team to stay committed to their duty and to keep the spirit of teamwork alive. He stressed the need for continued training, proper planning, and the use of advanced tools to support investigations.

This meeting is a strong sign that the CID is taking crime seriously and is determined to keep Ugandans safe. With such high-level reviews and coordination, the fight against crime is expected to become even more effective in the coming months.
