Col Nakalema, UDC boss Dr Birungi To Boost Investments

In a strong show of commitment to Uganda’s industrial growth, Col. Edith Nakalema, Head of Unit, hosted a high-level meeting today with key figures in the country’s investment sector. Among those present were Dr. Amooti Patrick Birungi, the Managing Director of Uganda Development Corporation (UDC), the Director of Investments at UDC, and Mr. Rao Mohan, the Honorary Consul of Colombia to Uganda.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways to improve collaboration between stakeholders, promote strategic investments, and strengthen investor confidence. These goals are part of Uganda’s broader industrial development agenda, which aims to create jobs, boost the economy, and build a strong and self-sustaining industrial sector.

During the meeting, the leaders agreed that working together and maintaining open, transparent, and accountable systems is the key to success. They emphasized the importance of building trust among investors both local and international by creating a clear and supportive environment for doing business.

The involvement of the Honorary Consul of Colombia also highlighted Uganda’s growing interest in attracting global partnerships. His presence showed the potential for deeper cooperation between Uganda and other countries in industrial development and trade.

As Uganda continues to position itself as a hub for industrial and economic transformation, such meetings show a positive step forward. With a united effort from government bodies, development corporations, and international partners, Uganda is paving the way for a brighter industrial future.
