The ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 9 community cases among the 11 new COVID19 cases got from 3,386 samples tested on 27 June 2020.
The Nine (9) community cases were got among 990 samples from alerts and contacts while the other two (2) cases were got from 2,396 samples tested at points of entry.
According to the ministry, the nine (9) cases got from contacts and alerts include; 8 from Amuru while 1 is from Nwoya and the 2 cases got at points of entry are truck drivers one (1) of whom arrived via Mutukula and 1 via Busia.
It adds that 10 foreign truck drivers who tested positive for COVID19 were handed over to their respective countries of origin
Uganda now registers a total of 859 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 794 recoveries.
