COVID-19: Uganda Registers 14 New Cases From Contacts, Total Rises To 212

The ministry of health has confirmed 14 new COVID-19 out of the 1,739 samples tested on  24 May, 2020.

All new cases are contacts to previously confirmed truck drivers.

According to the ministry, all cases were under quarantine at the time of test.

The ministry  said the 5 positive foreign truck drivers (all Tanzanians) were handed over to their country of origin.

Out of the samples tested, 655 from Points of Entry while 1,084 were from community and contacts.

Uganda now registers a total number of 212 confirmed COVID19 cases.
