The ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 12 community cases among the 15 new COVID-19 cases got from 2,868 samples tested on 26 June 2020.
The twelve (12) community cases were got among 1,196 samples from alerts and contacts while the other three(3) cases were got 1,672 samples tested at points of Entry.
According to the ministry, the 12 cases got among contacts and alerts include: 10 from Tororo who were under quarantine, 1 from Luwero,1 from Amuru while the other 3 cases are truck drivers who arrived via Mirama Hills, Malaba and Elegu Points of Entry.
The ministry adds that 13 foreign truck drivers who tested positive for COVID19 were handed over to their respective countries of origin.
To date, Uganda registers a total of 848 confirmed COVID19 cases and 780 recoveries.
