The ministry of health Uganda has confirmed seven (7) new COVID-19 cases from 2,720 samples tested on 29th July, 2020.
Of the seven (7) confirmed cases, five(5) are alerts got among 1,005 samples of alerts and contacts two (2) of whom are from Kampala while the other three (3) are from Sironko , Gulu and Kyotera districts.
The other two (2) are truck drivers who arrived from Kenya via Malaba who were got among the 1,715 samples tested at points of entry.
According to the ministry, a total of 15 foreign truck drivers who tested positive for COVID19 were not permitted entry in to the country.
To date, Uganda registers a cumulative total of 1,147 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1,028 recoveries and two (2) COVID19 deaths.
