Entebbe Couple Murder Takes New Twist as President Museveni Orders ISO to Conduct Separate Investigations

Must read

The tragic murder of an Entebbe couple has taken a dramatic turn following President Museveni’s direct involvement in the case. The President has reportedly instructed Internal Security Organisation (ISO) boss, Lt. Col. Arthur Mugenyi, to carry out an independent investigation into the brutal killings and submit a special report directly to him, according to sources from Spyreports.

David Mutaaga and his wife, long-time residents of Switzerland for over 30 years, were found murdered in cold blood inside their home in Entebbe. The attackers, still unidentified, reportedly broke into the house, killed David, then went upstairs and killed his wife before escaping without detection. Preliminary investigations suggest that the motive behind the murder was linked to family property inherited from the late father of David Mutaaga.

Sources close to State House revealed that President Museveni became interested in the case after reading several reports from both newspapers and online platforms such as Spyreports. The President reportedly questioned how the killers managed to breach the home’s perimeter security, carry out the double murder, and vanish without being noticed. He has instructed ISO’s Mugenyi to dig deep into the matter and bring clarity.

Additionally, the President raised concerns about the deceased couple’s children, who were absent from their father’s burial. Sources claim Museveni asked ISO to investigate why the children feared attending the funeral. Allegedly, the children believe the killers are family members and feared for their own lives if they showed up at the burial.

President Museveni is said to have emphasized the urgency and seriousness of the matter, demanding a comprehensive report that could lead to the arrest of those responsible. “Nobody in Uganda has the right to kill and go unpunished. I need those killers arrested and brought to justice,” he reportedly said.

Apart from ISO, the President also contacted the Director of CID, AIGP Tom Magambo, instructing him to continue parallel investigations. Police sources confirm that CID has already gathered promising leads, including pictures and communication evidence linked to the suspected killers. However, due to the sensitive nature of the information, details remain confidential as the suspects are being tracked.

The country now awaits the outcome of these investigations as the security forces tighten the net around the suspects. The double murder has not only shaken Entebbe residents but has also caught the attention of the nation’s highest office, signaling how seriously the matter is being taken.
