Entebbe Police Nab Cattle Thieves in Katabi After Tip-Off

Must read

Entebbe Police have arrested two men suspected of stealing cattle in Kitala Bukandekande village, located in Katabi Town Council, Wakiso District. The suspects, identified as Lukyamuzi Badru and Bosco Ssozi, were caught following a tip-off from community members who reported suspicious activity in the area.

Acting quickly, police moved to the scene and apprehended the two men. During the operation, several exhibits were recovered. These included fresh meat, live goats, animal skins, and pangas—sharp machetes likely used in the crime. The discovery confirmed the suspicions that the animals were stolen and slaughtered illegally.

The arrest has brought a sense of relief to residents, many of whom had been worried about an increase in livestock thefts in recent weeks. Farmers and animal owners in the area had been reporting cases of missing goats and cattle, but with little evidence to go on until now.

Police have since launched an investigation to find out where exactly the stolen animals came from and whether the two suspects are part of a larger theft ring. Authorities have also encouraged members of the public to continue reporting suspicious behavior and to work closely with law enforcement to keep their communities safe.

This incident shows the importance of community cooperation with the police. Thanks to a timely tip-off, two suspects were arrested, and stolen property recovered. Investigations are still ongoing, and more updates will be provided as the case develops.
