Police have released a report on Eid day celebrations in Kampala Metropolitan area where it indicated the number of deaths and several incidents.
Police noted that , Kampala metropolitan areas were largely peaceful due to community policing and heavy security deployment.
However, there were a few isolated incidents reported:
A person was found dead at PF Petrol station Kanyanya on March 30, 2025, at around 7:00 a.m. The body was taken to Mulago City Mortuary.
There was also a reported case of Domestic Violence: A husband was rescued from domestic violence by his wife on March 30, 2025, at around 6:20 p.m. The wife was arrested and detained at Masanafu Police Post.
A male adult was found dead in Erisa zone Kyebando, holding a bottle of wine, on March 30, 2025, at around 7:30 p.m.
The body was taken to Mulago City Mortuary.
A pedestrian was knocked dead by a speeding motor vehicle in Kyebando along the Northern Bypass on March 30, 2025.
A dead body was found in a pool of blood in Nsambya West on March 31, 2025, at around 12:30 a.m. The deceased was suspected to be a phone snatcher.
A security guard shot and killed a suspected thief who had stolen a kettle from a residence in Kamuli zone C on March 31, 2025, at around 3:23 a.m.
SSP Patrick Onyango the Kampala metropolitan police Spokesperson said, the body was taken to Mulago Hospital for a postmortem.
