Erias Luyimbaazi Nalukoola, the former Member of Parliament for Kawempe North whose election was nullified, is showing strong leadership despite his short time in office. Many people are beginning to see him as a fast learner and a dedicated servant of the people in Uganda’s political space.
Following the example of his late predecessor, Muhammad Ssegirinya, Nalukoola has quickly moved to serve the people of Kawempe. Even though Ssegirinya sadly passed away not long after joining Parliament, his efforts and love for his community left a mark. Now, Nalukoola is carrying on that legacy. He recently officiated at the launch of a community health facility, showing that his commitment to public service is real and active.
The new health center, named EKSEL Medical Services (EMS), is located along Tula Road. According to Nalukoola, this facility is especially meant for the poor and vulnerable residents of Kawempe. Many people in this area struggle to get proper treatment from public hospitals, and this new center hopes to change that by providing better access to healthcare.
This is a big step for the community, and it is expected to make a real difference in people’s lives. Even more exciting is the fact that the President of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine, is expected to attend the grand opening of the facility. His presence will add more importance to the event and bring attention to the efforts being made to support the people of Kawempe.
Nalukoola’s actions prove that true leadership goes beyond politics. Even without a seat in Parliament, he is working hard to bring positive change to his community. Many are now watching him closely and appreciating his heart for service.
