Gulu Parents Taken Back To School To Learn Education Values

Leaders in Gulu District particulary Patiko sub county have launched a ten days village to village mobilization and senstisation campaign dubbed 'Back to school' Campaign as Schools across the country are preparing to open up for first Term on 5th feb for academic year 2024/2025.

This campaign is aimed at preparing and reminding parents their roles and responsibilities in regard to sending their children back to school.

according to the invitation letter from the office of Pakiko sub county chairperson,parents are also to be reminded on supporting thier children by providing them with thr required scholastic materials.

On the agenda, parents and the entire community will learn positive parenting practices.

The lessons will also attended by Village chiefs,LC1, LC11, LC111, All Councilors, Parish Chiefs, Sub county chief, CDO, GISO, OC Police,Teachers' representatives Among other officers.

This campaign is to look into the problem of students reporting very late back to school, High rates of school dropout especially girl children.
