Police at Nateete are holding a mother for allegedly killing her three-year-old daughter in a shocking incident that has left the community in grief. The tragedy happened on 24th February 2026, at around 5:00 a.m., in Lusaze Zone, Rubaga Division, Kampala District. The deceased child has been identified as Ayongeirwe Neila, while the mother, 24-year-old Aine Shivan, is accused of stabbing her own daughter to death.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the act occurred while the child’s father, Bakwatanisa Dickson, was away from home. After allegedly killing her daughter, the mother reportedly attempted to take her own life by cutting her neck. Police confirm that she survived and is currently receiving medical treatment under police guard.
