Activities were interrupted and roads made impassable in most parts of Kampala due to the heavy rainfall in various parts of Kampala metropolitan area.
The most affected parts include, Kampala clock tower,
Jinja road,
Northern bypass,
Micheal Kananura the traffic police spokesperson confirmed the affected areas due to heavy rainfall this morning.
“The areas of Banda, Kyambogo and Kinawataka (Katogo) have become impassable”. He says
He advised Motorists to use the Northern Bypass as an alternative route to avoid delays and inconveniences.
He also urged them to be patient and wait until the water subsides.
The Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety had earlier urged all road users, especially motorists, to exercise extra caution as the rainy season begins.
