New and shocking details have emerged about the recent double murder that shook Entebbe Municipality. According to police investigators, the killing of a couple is believed to be linked to a bitter family dispute over inherited property.
Police sources say the murdered man, Mutaaga David, had inherited all of his late father’s property, which caused deep anger among his siblings. “The cause of the couple’s death is highly connected to the family properties which Mutaaga took over after the death of his father,” revealed one of the investigators handling the case.
Investigations show that Mutaaga was chosen as the heir and took full control of the family assets. This move reportedly created tension within the family, as his siblings felt left out. One officer stated, “After taking all the properties, he left the country and lived abroad with his wife and children for several years.”
However, Mutaaga recently returned to Uganda with his wife—and that may have been the trigger. Police believe his return angered some family members, and it is suspected that a plan was made to end his life. “We believe the killers jumped over the fence and murdered the couple,” one investigator confirmed.
