Police in Katwe are investigating a suspected murder and robbery that occurred in Masajja A cell, Masajja Division, Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality, Wakiso District.
The victim identified as Ssengooba Charles, 41 years a businessman, was attacked by unknown assailants on March 17, 2025, around 10:45 pm while heading home from his beer depot in Masajja A zone.
The assailants hit Ssengooba on the head and robbed him of an unspecified amount of money and a smartphone valued at 500,000 shillings.
According to SSP Patrick Onyango the police spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan said, Good Samaritans rushed him to Nsambya Hospital, where he unfortunately passed away.
“The police have started investigating the incident, which occurred about 100 meters from Ssengooba’s home in a dark spot”. Added Onyango.
