Today Morning Inspector General of Government (IGG) has arrested Moses Byanguye, a senior commissioner from Ministry of local Government for embezzling over 29m which was meant to be given to suppliers and he channeled to his personal account which caused financial loss.
According to our spies in the of the office of the IGG , Moses Byanguye was picked from his office at workers house and he was rushed to Kibuli CID headquarters where he was grilled for close to five hours before being taken to Anti-corruption court.
IGG spokesperson Ali Munira confirmed to us that, “Moses Byanguye has been investigated by our officials until his file was sanctioned by the court and he will be charged with two counts of embezzlement and corruption”.
The file information shows that between February and May 2015, Moses Byabguye while employed as a Senior commissioner in Ministry of local government channeled 29m meant to pay suppliers to his personal account.
Two weeks back IGG arrested former Permanent secretary of judicial service commission Dr Rose Nassali Lukwago for failing to account for shs 3.4bn which was reflected in the 2017-2018 report of the Auditor General.
