Lubowa Police Station has successfully recovered 30 stolen motor vehicle number plates, following a tip-off that led to a remarkable discovery on September 11, 2025, at around 1:30 pm in Sseguku Zone 5. Acting swiftly on the information, officers traced the stolen items to a sweet potato garden, where they found a sack marked “Kakira Sugar” containing the number plates.
Police have recorded statements from relevant witnesses as part of their ongoing investigations. The recovered number plates are now safely held at Lubowa Police Station, awaiting their rightful owners. Authorities are urging anyone who reported a stolen number plate to visit the station and identify their property.
