The newly elected member of parliament for Kawempe North Constituency Counsel Elias Nalukoola Luyimbaazi has been sworn-in to represent his electorates in the 11th parliament.
Nalukoola Was accompanied by the leader of opposition Joel Sennyonyi and his family in the speaker’s chambers.
The speaker of parliament Rt Hon Annet Anita Among has ordered the clerk to parliament to provide all the benefits of a member of parliament to Hon Nalukoola including a car despite the shortest period remaining to the closure of the 11th
Nalukoola has asked the speaker to accord him more minutes when parliament resumes noting that Kawempe North people lost some time by the previous speakers.
Nalukoola further told the speaker that he will present to her the state of Kawempe north and also present a report on floods in Kawempe.
The speaker promised to accord him that time.
“Indeed, Kawempe lost some time since the late Ssegirinya was arrested and spent more time bedridden”. Said Speaker Among.
Nalukoola vowed to continue opposing government and president Museveni indicating that opposing government is not a crime.
