COVID-19: 65 Test positive as Uganda Registers Two New Deaths

Uganda has registered two (2) COVID19 deaths today. The deceased are both Ugandan females aged 57 and 69 residents of Kampala.

This brings the total number of COVID19 deaths to thirty five (35).

Relatedly, the ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 65 new COVID-19 cases from 4,540 samples tested on 3rd September, 2020.

Of the confirmed cases, 60 are alerts and contacts including 44 from Kampala, 6 from Gulu, 3 from Buikwe, 2 from Mukono, 1 from Busia , 1 from Luweero, 1 from Nakapiripirit, 1 from Nwoya, and 1 from Wakiso.

The other cases include two (2) health workers from Nwoya and Wakiso and three (3) who arrived from Busia, Mponde and Vurra points of entry.

The ministry further notes that five (5) Kenyan truck who tested positive for COVID19 were not permitted entry in to the country.

To date, Uganda registers a cumulative total of 3,353 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1,564 recoveries and thirty five (35) COVID19 deaths.
