COVID-19: Uganda Registers 10 New Cases, Total Hits 1,213

The ministry of health Uganda has confirmed ten (10) new COVID-19 cases from 2,278 samples tested on 4th August, 2020.

Of the 10 confirmed cases, one (1) is a truck driver who arrived from Tanzania via Mutukula, one (1) is a returnee from South Sudan, two (2) are contacts to previously confirmed cases in Kampala while the other six (6) are alerts.

The six (6) alert cases include, two (2) from Amuru, two (2) from Gulu, one (1) from Masaka and one (1) is from Adjumani.

According to the ministry, a total of 16 foreign truck drivers including 10 Kenyans and 6 Tanzanians who tested positive for COVID19 were not permitted entry in to the country.

To date, Uganda registers a cumulative total of 1,213 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1,102 recoveries and five (5) COVID19 deaths.
