COVID-19: Uganda Registers 16 New Cases, Total Hikes to 1,313

The ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 16 new COVID19 cases from 2,250 samples tested on 10th August, 2020.

Of the 16 new cases, 12 are alerts, two (2) are contacts to previously confirmed cases from Adjumani, one (1) is a truck driver who arrived from south Sudan via Elegu while the other one (1) is a returnee from Kenya.

Regarding the 12 alerts cases, eight (8) are from Namisindwa, three (3) are from Tororo and one (1) is from Kampala metropolitan area.

The ministry notes that a total of eleven (11) foreign truck drivers who tested positive for COVID19 were not allowed in to the country.

To date, Uganda registers a total of 1,313 confirmed COVID19 cases , 1,138 recoveries and nine (9) deaths.
