COVID-19: Uganda Registers 181 New Cases as Total Shoots Up to 6,468

The ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 181 new COVID19 cases from 1,989 samples tested on 20th September, 2020.

Of the confirmed cases, 157 are contacts  and alerts from Kampala (73),Mbale (19), Kapchorwa (26), Soroti (10), Jinja (5), Kaberamaido (5) ,Kumi (3), Buikwe (2), Iganga (2), Isingiro (2), Ngora (3), Busia (1), Kaliro (1), Kanungu (1), Masaka (1), Rakai (1), Sironko (1) and Wakiso (1) districts.

The other cases include three (3) truck drivers who arrived via Malaba point of entry, and 21 returnees, 20 of whom returned from India while the other one (1) returned from Tanzania.

To date, Uganda registers a total of 6,468 confirmed COVID19 cases, 2,731 recoveries and sixty three (63) deaths.
