COVID-19: Uganda Registers 270 New Cases, Total Shoots Up to 6,287

The ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 270 new COVID-19 cases from the tests done on 19 September 2020.

Of the confirmed cases, 240 are contacts and alerts from Kampala (59), Gulu (56), Oyam (22), Mbale (17), Wakiso (15), Moroto (10), Amudat (8), Bududa (4), Busia (4), Hoima (5), Kitgum (5), Sironko (5), Budaka (2), Iganga (2), Lamwo (3), Luwero (2), Mbarara (2), Mityana (2), Mukono (2), Arua (2), Dokolo (1), Jinja (1), Kanungu (1), Kole (1), Kween (1), Kyenjojo (1), Lira (1), Mayuge (1), Napak (1), Nwoya (1), Terego (1), Tororo (1) and Koboko (1) districts.

Other cases include one (1) truck driver from who arrived via Malaba point of entry and 29 returnees, 25 of whom arrived from Saudia Arabia, 3 from India , and 1 from Norway.

Uganda now registers a cumulative total of 6,287 confirmed cases of Ugandans, 2,616 recoveries and 63 deaths.
