COVID-19: Uganda Registers New One Death, 145 Test Positive as Total Shoots to 10,933

Uganda has registered one (1) new COVID19 death from Jinja district bringing the total number of COVID19 deaths to ninety eight (98).

Relatedly, the ministry of health Uganda has also confirmed 145 new COVID-19 cases from samples tested on 20th October, 2020.

Of the confirmed cases, 143 are contacts and alerts from Kampala (56), Obongi (24), Moyo (14), Lira (13), Buikwe (10), Iganga (5), Jinja (5), Dokolo (3), Bushenyi (2), Mbale (2), Mukono (2), Arua (1), Buvuma (1), Kisoro (1), Luwero (1), Maracha (1), Ntungamo (1), and Soroti (1) districts.

The other two (2) cases are truck drivers who arrived via Malaba point of entry.

Currently, Uganda registers a cumulative total of 10,933 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 7,154 recoveries and ninety eight (98) COVID19 deaths.
