COVID-19: Uganda Registers Six New Cases, Total Hits 1,182

The ministry of health Uganda has confirmed six (6) new COVID-19 cases out of the 2,907 samples tested on 01 August 2020.

The confirmed cases include two (2) truck drivers who arrived via Malaba, three (3) returnees, two (2) of whom arrived from Somalia and the other one (1) arrived from Saudi Arabia. The other one (1) case is an alert from Nakaseke.

The ministry noted that 5 foreign truck drivers who tested positive for COVID-19 at the borders were not permitted entry into the country.

Currently, Uganda registers a total of 1,182 confirmed cases, 1,045 recoveries and four (4) deaths.
