COVID-19; Uganda Registers Three New Deaths as 96 Test Positive

Uganda has registered three (3) COVID-19  deaths from Kampala today bringing the total of COVID-19 deaths to 55.

In the same vein, the ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 96 new COVID-19 cases from the  3,350 tests taken on 12 September 2020.

Of the confirmed cases, 88 are contacts and alerts from  Kampala(33), Buikwe (28), Jinja (4), Soroti (4), Lira (3), Kibuku (2), Mbarara (2), Terego (2), Tororo (2), Amolatar (1), Arua (1), Iganga (1), Masindi (1), Ngora (1), Moroto (1), Pader (1) and Wakiso (1) districts.

Other cases include one (1) returnee from DRC and seven (7) truck drivers who arrived via Malaba (3), Bunagana (2)  (2)and Elegu points of entry.

This brings the cumulative total of confirmed cases of Ugandans to 4,799. Todate, Uganda registers 2,256 recoveries.
