COVID-19: Uganda Registers Two New Deaths, 423 New Cases as Total Hits 6,017

Uganda has registered two (2) new COVID-19 deaths from Kampala and Mpigi bringing the total of COVID-19 deaths to 63.

In the same vein, the ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 423 new COVID19 cases from the 2,320 samples tests done on 18 September 2020.

Of the confirmed cases, 411 are contacts and alerts from Moroto (166), Kampala (85), Butaleja (59), Mukono (27), Lira (14),Mbale (10),Wakiso (9), Luwero (6),Buikwe (5),Kisoro (4),Gulu (3),Bududa (5),Jinja (4),Kumi (3), Kanungu (1), Kapchorwa (4),Mpigi (1), Soroti (3),Mityana (1), and Sironko (1) district.

The other cases include 12 returnees, 8 of whom arrived from from Saudi Arabia , 3 from India, and 1 from Jordan.

To date , Uganda registers a cumulative total of 6,017 confirmed cases, 2,581 recoveries and 63 deaths.
