COVID-19: Uganda’s Death Toll Rises to 49 as 86 Test Positive

Uganda has registered one (1) COVID19 death  bringing the total number of Corona virus deaths to forty nine (49).

The ministry of health Uganda has also confirmed 86 new COVID-19 cases from 3,016 samples tested on 9th September, 2020.

All the confirmed cases are alerts and contacts including 36 from Kampala,  15 from Gulu, 7 from Mukono, 12 from Moroto , 5 from Lira, 2 from Wakiso, 2 from Kitgum, 2 from Lamwo, 1 from Buliisa, 1 from Oyam and 1 from Zombo.

One Kenyan truck driver who tested positive for COVID19 at Goli point of entry wasn’t permitted entry in to the country.

To date, Uganda registers a cumulative total of 4,377 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1,998 recoveries and forty nine (49) COVID19 deaths.
