COVID19 Hits Kawempe Police as Suspect Tests Positive

Fear has engulfed police officers at Kawempe police station after one of the suspects in a police custody was found with COVID19.

Our spies at the police station told us that, suspects got shocked after seeing one of their colleagues in bad condition.

“Our colleague developed complications in breathing and had a high temperature and upon seeing him, we immediately called the afande who was guarding us,”our spies heard a suspect narrating to some police officers.

Luke Owoyesigyire the deputy police spokesperson Kampala metropolitan confirmed having registered a positive case of Covid19 at kawempe.

“it’s true we have registered a positive case of Covid 19 at Kawempe and the suspect has been taken to Entebbe grade B hospital for further management,”says Luke owoyesigyire.

Luke added that the suspect who has tested positive for Covid19 is being charged of defilement.

“The suspect is a 15 year old juvenile who defiled a girl of three years.  He was aligned in Nabweru court where he was remanded to Naguru remand home.” Owoyesigyire says.

Luke further said that , the management of remand home refused to admit him before he could get the results adding that upon testing, he was positive for Covid 19.

Our spies added that the suspect had spent a week in Kawempe police cells an indication that the whole custody needs to be tested and also officers who have been manning the custody.
