Online visa payment services at the embattled DFCU bank have broken down, this website has learnt.
A source at the bank says the services have been down for close to three months without any possible solution being sought by the management.
According to one of the complaints raised by its clients, they have been trying to use dfcu visa debit cards to do online payments but in vain.
“Can you imagine that it’s now about three months and I have been raising this issue with the bank but they can’t find a solution”.
He adds” I wanted to use my dfcu visa card to purchase some software online but I can’t access the services. I don’t know if these people are issuing us with fake visa cards.”
In one of the complaints raised by one of the clients before the bank on August 24th, he wanted to find out if he can use the bank for online payments.
Dfcu bank on August 25th after one day replied to him informing him that the bank was facing an intermittent connection with its Visa online payments.
“Please be advised that we are currently facing an intermittent connection with our Visa online payments. We are working with the visa team to have the service restored”. Said the bank in its reply.
After waiting and being patient hoping that the problem had been rectified, this client again on 29th October tried dfcu visa debit card to do online payment but all was in vain.
He again complained to the bank but the bank again informed him that they still have a problem in its online visa payments two months after the first complaint.
“Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize that you are having challenges accessing your account through the online banking platform. Please be advised that we have some challenges with the platform which we are working to resolve. Kindly bear with us until then.
We would like to clarify that some sites that are inaccessible with the VISA debit cards. However, we have intermittent connection on our side.”
Dfcu added” Unfortunately, the issue is with all classic cards as some sites are currently inaccessible with the cards. We understand it has been a while now however we are working to have this resolved. Our sincere apologies”.
This frustrated client in his reply noted that “Mbavudeko, you don’t know what you want. I have gone to Equity bank”.
Dfcu has since apologized to him for falling short in its service delivery.
