Police in Mpigi district has released the FDC presidential candidate Patrick Amuriat Oboi today morning after spending a night in the coolers.
The police arrested Amuriat and detained him at the central police station yesterday as he carrying out his campaigns less than four days to presidential election.
Amuriat was intercepted in Mpigi town and violently pushed onto a waiting patrol pick up and driven to the police station.
However he has been this morning released on a police bond to go and prepare for the D- Day.
At the station, the district police commander who commanded the operation refused to take Amuriat to his office, but instead took him to the traffic office.
Amuriat was a charged a traffic offence of driving on the road on top on the vehicle which is against the traffic rules.
