A man who has been at the Centre of trafficking children for sale has been arrested.
Well-placed security told the Spyreports last night that Bakaki Yunusu alias Kabbu aged 44 was arrested early on Saturday morning from his hide-out at Lorikwo West in Elegu Town Council, Uganda’s border with South Sudan in an intelligence-led operation of a combined team of security.
Security sources say Bakku has been on wanted list since 2012 when he openly told the BBC in a documentary that he abducts and trafficks children abroad at 10, 000 pounds, an equivalent of Shs 49 million.
In the documentary, he also told the BBC reporter that he uses corrupt officers to secure his dealings.
Security sources say Kabbu, a driver, is a born of Kibibi Village, Buyala Parish, Budondo Division, Jinja City in Eastern Uganda and runs a local restaurant in the area.
Kabbu faces criminal charges vide GEF 05/2021 will be referred to the Anti-Trafficking in Person’s Desk in Kampala for further investigations.
