Police based at Parliament of Uganda has arrested a man who sneaked inside Parliament with a human head.
According to our sources based at Parliament, the man who is not yet identified for security reasons was arrested entering in to Speaker’s office with a human head wrapped in wrapping paper.
“This man came in the morning with a gift wrapped in shining papers and said he was going to meet his Member of Parliament from Busoga region,” says a security source from Parliament.
The source says the man was left to go since the business at Parliament now is not tight.
The sources says the man went and passed the final check point of Parliament and he was also allowed to go inside.
Another source says he went straight to Speaker Kadaga’s wing holding a gift.
Security sources say when he reached at the main check point at Kadaga’s office police officers asked to tell them what he was holding.
“What are you holding sir, ” a source quoted a security at Speaker’s wing questioning. The man replied,its the gift for Speaker.
Sources inside Speaker Kadaga camp told us that Kadaga ordered her security team to always see any gift physically before delivering them to her.
The source says security ordered the man to open the gift for security to see before he takes to the speaker.
Sources say, the man refused to open and security forced him to open. Upon opening they found a human head wrapped inside.
He was immediately arrested and whisked away from Parliament. He was taken to CID headquarters Kibuli for investigations.
When contacted, Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson Patrick Onyango for a comment, he referred us to spokesperson CID Charles Twiine. However, efforts to get Twiine on phone were futile as he didnot pick our calls
