Police in Bukedi north is holding Agule County Member of Parliament Hon Francis Mukula on allegations of shooting at two people during the hot concluded NRM primaries.
According to ours sources Hon Mukula contested for the NRM flag bearer with four others in the newly created Gogonyo county in Pallisa district where he allegedly shot at two people after getting angered by the results where his opponent was announced the winner.
According to police’s investigations, the doctor’s report shows that a bullet got stuck in the chest of one of the victims and she underwent an operation that removed it.
Peter Muwonge, the Bukedi North Regional CID officer confirmed to Spyreports that Hon Francis Mukula was arrested over the weekend and different charges were referred against him and he is pending to be charged in courts.
President Museveni who is also the NRM Chairman has strongly condemned all party members who have been involved in acts of assaults, forgery, intimidation among other cases and has since ordered for their arrests and prosecutions.
“Every body who has been involved in any criminal activities during these NRM primaries should be arrested and prosecuted immediately,” angry Museveni ordered.
