President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is on his campaign in eastern region has officiated the ground breaking ceremony for the upgrade of the 92 km Muyembe-Nakapiripirit road in Sironko district.
While presiding over the ceremony , Museveni said the road was financed by Islamic Development bank and will be linking to countries like Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia.
“For a road like this to make meaning, we must emphasize the issue of regional integration with the purpose of engaging in lucrative trade, and easy movement of goods and services from country to country. “he said.
“Our people must also wake up and involve themselves in calculative commercialised businesses to increase our exports and utilise such road.”he added.
