Lt Col Edith Nakalema has today grilled a state house boss one Hilary Musoke, singer Catherine Kusasira who is also a presidential advisor and Pastor Mondo of empowerment Christian prayer center international over their involvement in a fraud case of shs 5Bn that saw over 120 church pastors lose billions of money.
The three were summoned last week after Nakalema met a group of aggrieved pastors and school owners who were conned their millions of money by a one pastor Sirajje Ssemanda with their help.
While in their meeting, Nakalema promised to investigate the case and assured them that whoever is implicated in the case will be arrested and charged.
A group of over 120 church pastors and school owners told Nakalema that pastor Sirajje told them how he is in touch with statehouse bosses to ensure that they meet president Museveni and get bursaries for their followers to study both in Uganda and abroad.
“Pastor Sirajje told us that our followers would all benefit front state house scholarships abroad and within Uganda because he is in touch with President Museveni,”say conned pastors.
Conned pastors further told Nakalema how they were shocked to see Singer Kusasira and pastor Mondo coming to meet them on behalf of statehouse.
“Afande, pastor Sirajje told us that statehouse bosses had been sent to meet us by the president but to our surprise, we saw Kusasira and pastor Mondo coming to meet us and they told us how our issues were being worked on,” add conned pastors.
Pastor Sirajje Ssemanda of Revival Ministries Church Bombo was arrested for allegedly defrauding over 400 private school owners and thousands of parents of vulnerable children, over UGX4Bn on promises of getting them scholarships, trips abroad and connecting them to Operation wealth Creation.
Sirajje Ssemanda appeared before Buganda Road Court yesterday and charged with 17 counts of obtaining money by false pretense and was remanded to Kitalya Prison.
