NRM Buys Veteran Journalist Basajja Mivule from NUP after Arresting him over Sectarianism

National Ruling Movement (NRM) has today morning unveiled veteran Journalist Basajja Mivule after buying him from National Unity Platform (NUP) where he had just spent three weeks as a member.

According to our sources within NUP, NRM under their chairmanship of president Museveni, bought Basajja Mivule an undisclosed amount of money which lured him from their party and openly declared himself an NRM Supporter.

“We are all aware that Mivule like any other politicians with weak political heart of the country  has been bought by NRM as its their order of the day to buy whoever comes out talk about their bad governance,” says an insider  from NUP.

Mivule openly declared and unveiled himself today morning at Eureka Hotel in Ntinda and he was franked by NRM’s chief Moblizer Balaam Barugahare.

Last month Veteran journalist Mivule was arrested by joint security agencies over sectarianism charges and spent almost a week in Kireka police custody.

His arrest came after a video in which he attacked westerners claiming that they are land grabbers went viral.

However after his release from police custody, Basajja Mivule accused his Baganda tribesmen of abandoning him in this time of need adding that while in detention, he was helped and fed by people from other tribes.

After his release, Mivule was unveiled by Leader of NUP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine as a fully accomplished member of the party and was given a membership card.

However the leadership of NUP has today morning been surprised after getting news of their member unveiling himself before the media as a new member of NRM.
