President Yoweri Museveni yesterday told the people of Bugisu that Mbale industrial Park will generate 15,000 jobs upon completion. This was during a meeting with NRM leaders from Bulambuli and Sironko districts as he concluded his campaign in Bugisu sub-region.
Museveni tasked the leaders of bugisu region to mobilize the youth to take advantage of available employment opportunities.
“Mobilize our people, especially the youth, to take advantage of employment opportunities emerging from various developments like the Mbale Industrial Park. When fully operational, that park will create over 15,000 jobs.” He told the leaders of Bugisu region.
Museveni told the NRM leaders that it is important that the people appreciate all this is possible because of the peace and stability guaranteed by the NRM government.
“At one time, Uganda had the fourth highest number of refugees across the world. Today, we are the second highest refugee-hosting country in the world.” He noted.
He as well thanked the people of Bugisu for the warm reception. “I saw many of our supporters in Sironko but I urge you to observe SoPs in relation to Covid-19. Mwanyala nabi.”he said.
