Police Chief Suspends 10 Officers over Corruption, Bribery Allegations

Inspector General of Police Martins Okoth Ochola has suspended 10 senior police officers and ordered for their immediate investigations on allegations of corruption, bribery and unprofessional conducts among other charges.

Ochola suspended the officers in a police message date 2nd September 2020 where over 72 senior police officers were transferred to new places.

Our police spies at police headquarters told us that, the suspension of officers came after police chief got intelligence reports that the said officers had engaged themselves in corruption, bribery and unprofessional conducts which put the image of the force into limelight.

“IGP got intelligence reports  of bribery, corruption, unprofessional conducts about these police officers from where they have been deployed and he was too bitter saying that he cant tolerate police officers that put the image of the force into public limelight,” our spy quotes police chief Ochola fuming.

The suspended officers are SP EGWANGU GEOFREY, ASP AKANKWATSA EDGAR, ASP KACUMU ROBERT, ASP NIWAGABA HERBERT, ASP MUSINGUZI DENNIS   , D/ASP NAKAWALA JULIET, and D/ASP BAJOOZI ENOCK.

Police chief has directed the commandant professional standards unit “PSU” a unit in the police force that is mandated to investigate the conducts of all police officers to immediately investigate these officers and give him a report.

Our spies told us that the suspended officers will be tried in police disciplinary court adding that they might be dismissed from the force if court finds them guilty of the charges.
