Police headquarters have been temporarily closed for 3 days to enable the process of decontamination, fumigation and testing of personnel for COVID19.
Uganda Police spokesperson Fred Enanga says the process has started today involving both the police headquarters and the National Command Center.
He also hinted on the possibility of all police officers in the country to be tested for COVID19.
“Random testing exercise on officers has been going on country wide in places like Jinja, Isingiro among others. But we are also working with the ministry of health to get all the 1600 police stations covered. Enanga said.
The exercise comes after the Police Chief Political Commissar AIGP Asan Kasingye tested positive for COVID19 on Sunday.
