Police Seals Off Empire Casino, Arrests 11 for Defying Presidential Directive

Central police station cps Kampala is holding 11 people who were found in Empire casino past curfew time while not observing social distance.

Police got intelligence that owners of Empire casino have been operating beyond curfew time for close to two weeks which prompted them to make an operation at night and arrested all the customers that were found playing betting games.

Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson confirmed the arrest of 11 people who included managers of the casino and those who were found inside playing different games.

“We carried an intelligence led operation and arrested 11 people from Empire casino that were found playing different games and the managers past curfew hours,” says Luke Owoyesigyire.

Owoyesigyire added that the arrested will be aligned in court and be charged with disobeying the presidential directives.
