Shock and grieve is rocking the National Resistance Movement (NRM) as more than ten top Ministers have lost their seats to the new Comers which was not expected, Spyreports has exclusively learnt.
On Wednesday, Spyreports published a story how NRM Incumbents were on the verge of losing their seats, which they claimed for the last 20 years to new comers.
According to preliminary reports and results, over ten Ministers especially from the Western side have lost their seats to new comers. Among the Ministers who have allegedly lost their seats to new comers, include
Hon Elioda Tumwesigye: He is the Minister for Science and Technology and is the current Member of Parliament for Sheema Municipality on NRM Ticket. Results show that Hon Elioda has completely lost to Dickson Kateshubwa who recently resigned his job as Commissioner Customers in Uganda Revenue Authority. People on the ground say Kateshubwa has defeated Elioda in almost all polling stations.
Mary Karoro Okurut: She is the Minister of General Duties in the Office of Prime Minister; she also doubles as the Woman Member of Parliament for Bushenyi District and a member of NRM. Preliminary results from Bushenyi indicate that Karoro has lost to Annet Tusiime Mugisha the wife to Dr Silver Mugisha the Managing Director of National Water and sewerage Cooperation.
Prof.Ephriam Kamuntu: He is the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs and a Member of Parliament for Sheema County South. Results coming from the ground show that he has also lost Primary elections to his main rival.
Minister Mwesigwa Rukutana: He is the State Minister for Labor and Gender and he is the current Member of Parliament for Rushenyi County in Ntungamo District. Results coming from Ntungamo show that Rukutana has lost to his main challenger Naome Kabasharira. She is the former Woman Member of Parliament for Ntungamo District.
Adolf Mwesigye: He is the Minster for Defence and Veteran Affairs and represents Bunyangabo County in Bunyangabo district. Results indicate that he has also lost the seat.
Evelyn Anite: She is the State Minister for Finance and Privatization. She also represents Koboko Municipality in Parliament. Results coming in from Koboko show that she has lost to Dr Charles Ayume the son to Late Francis Ayume the former Speaker of Parliament.
Peter Ogwang: He is the State Minister for Information and Technology. Results show that Ogwang and Otuko Augustine are on neck to neck.
Beatrice Anywar. She is the state Minister for Water and Environment and represents Kitgum Municipality in Parliament. Results coming in indicate that she has lost the election.
Other top NRM Members who have also lost include Lydia Wanyonto who acts as Chairperson Women’s league in the party, Micheal Tumusime is the current Member of Parliament for Mbarara Municipality and has lost to Robert Rukari, Beatrice Rwakimari is the Woman Member of Parliament for Ntungamo District and results show that she lost to one Kamateneti among others.
