State House Vehicle Knocks Woman On Motorcycle To Death

Gomba police are investigating circumstances under which a State house vehicle knocked a motorcycle carrying passengers in Kabankonyo

Source say that the accident was registered TAR44/2021 and involved motor vehicle registration number H4DF 2490 (Toyota Land Cruiser) driven by L/CPL Sakwa of State House and Motorcycle registration number UEM 635G (Bajaj Boxer).

The incident occurred today at about 11am at Kabankonyo village along Sembabule-Mpigi Road.
Victims have been identified as  Christine, a resident of Kabulasoke sub-county who was rushed to Kanan Medical Centre, Maddu Town Council. She succumbed to injuries.
Other victims are  Rukundo Fiona, 19, a resident of Kabulasoke, a passenger on the motorcycle, Mande Amza, 20, a rider of the motorcycle, Robina Mubyamurira, 65, Kwateketeka Daniel, 11, L/CPL Wanda Byasala, 30, Sakwa and Lt Musinguzi Livingstone, 38, attached to the State House.
All victims have been referred to Mulago Hospital.
Traffic and Road Safety Spokesperson Faridah Nampiima confirmed the accident.
Nampiima said the cause of the accident is established to be over speeding on the side of the vehicle and reckless riding by the rider.
