The Police in Kawempe Division, Kampala have arrested a wife and launched a hunt for her son in connection with the brutal killing of her husband during a domestic flight.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesman, Luke Owoyesigire, said the killing of Muhammad Nsubuga has been treated as a murder case and recorded as SD 40/23/11/202 Kawanda police station and Kawempe CRB 1514/2021.
It was entered as a case of murder by cutting reported at Kawanda police station.
It is said Nsubuga, 45, was allegedly stabbed by his son, Abdallakim Nsubuga, who was still on the run.
According to Owoyosigyire, the incident occurred at around 9 pm on Tuesday when Nsubuga returned home and joined his family.
The Police explained that on leaving the home, Nsubuga picked some clothes, which made the wife, Fatuma Nakalema to become suspicious and thought he was moving out for his second wife.
It was at this time that an exchange of words ensued and resulted in a fight. However, the son is said to have joined the fight to rescue his mother and cut the deceased on the neck, causing a deep wound.
Nsubuga however, managed to walk up to Vicks clinic where he fell down and died. The police visited the scene to carry out further investigations.
The police later arrested Nakalema to help them as they launched a hunt for the son.
The body of the deceased was picked and taken to KCCA mortuary for postmortem as inquires commenced.
