The Director in charge of Crime Intelligence in Uganda Police, Maj. Gen. Christopher Ndamurila, today joined hands with Public Service Minister Hon. Muruuli Mukasa, Hon. Alice Kaboyo, Hon. Bright Rwamirama, and other top government officials in distributing items like seeds, fertilizers, and machinery to farmers of Luweero District. The event also brought together Members of Parliament and local leaders from Nakaseke and Nakasongola, emphasizing a united effort to improve food security and livelihoods in the region.

Farmers received crucial support in the form of high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and modern farm machinery. These resources are expected to enhance agricultural productivity, create new job opportunities, and ensure that families in Greater Luweero have reliable access to food. Leaders stressed that investing in agriculture not only improves individual livelihoods but also strengthens the overall economy of the region.

During the event, Maj. Gen. Ndamurila and other leaders also delivered a strong message of peace and harmony. Residents were urged to remain calm and cooperative throughout the ongoing election period, recognizing that lasting development and security are only possible in a peaceful environment.

The leaders further highlighted the connection between economic empowerment and public safety. By providing tools and support for farmers to earn a sustainable living, communities can reduce crime and build a foundation for long-term prosperity. The gathering therefore represented more than a distribution of farming supplies—it was a powerful call for peace, resilience, and collective progress in Greater Luweero.
